We are approved by North Dakota Growing Futures Early Childhood Workforce Registry for annual childcare licensing renewal and training requirements for those who work in child care centers, preschools, educational facilities, school-age programs, family child care homes, and group family child care homes.

This includes directors, supervisors, teachers, group child care supervisors, providers, and volunteers.

Tick Tock training is also an Approved Training Sponsor Organization with North Dakota Growing Futures Registry.

 

To receive Growing Futures training credit, please add your Growing Futures Registry ID number to your course registration and once you receive your certificate for taking your course email that to:  ticktocktraining@yahoo.com so that we can make sure you receive credit.  

CDA INFORMATION

A Child Development Associates (C.D.A.) is a Credential awarded by the

COUNCIL OF PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION out of Washington D.C.    

 

This credential is acknowledged and accepted Nationwide

and serves as proof that the person holding the C.D.A. is

an educated, qualified, childcare professional.  The C.D.A. is used nationwide

to improve the star quality rating score of a childcare center

and allows the holder to apply for positions that require

a Child Development Associates Degree, open a childcare center and much more.

GRANT IS AVAILABLE NATIONWIDE

(Except Louisiana and New Mexico).

C.D.A. Course Cost:  

​

All students who register automatically receive the grant until these funds run out.  

 

Our C.D.A. classes normally cost $795.00 however, at this time, thanks to the

2025 CHILD-UP grant, ALL students that enroll in our program 

will only pay $295.00 for the class Plus $28.00 +tax for a textbook.

 

Students may choose one of the following C.D.A. types:

 

*INFANT TODDLER C.D.A. (6 weeks old to 2 years old)

*PRESCHOOL C.D.A. (3 years old to after school age)

*FAMILY (IN HOME PROVIDER) C.D.A. (Care for all age groups in your private home)

BIRTH TO 5 CDA (6 weeks to 5 years old - licensed facility)

HOME VISITOR CDA (Works as a home visitor for head start or other organization)

​Student Requirements:

 

*18 years or older

* Have a High School Diploma or equivalent - or will graduate by the time of testing.

*  Have a minimum of 480 hours (about 12 weeks of full time experience or 24 weeks of part time experience) in a child care setting during their lifetime.  Our program includes professional portfolio completion assistance.

After our program you will take your final exam with the CDA council and then you will

need to be observed working in a classroom

with children that fall within the age group of your course. 

​

As with all other programs, including college programs,

the fee for this test is not included in your class cost,

however, the great news is that your state may have a grant in place to help pay for this exam.
