In Louisiana having a CDA credential (plus additional experience) qualifies you to work as a director in a child daycare center.

Please note: For type III licensed facilities that need BESE approved training, Care Courses is not a BESE-approved Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program.

Louisiana Childcare Training Requirements:

All Care Courses (with the exception of our Medication trainings, are accepted by the Louisiana Department of Education for continuing education for those who work in Type I, Type II, and Type III child care centers or in family child day care homes. This includes directors, early learning staff, and providers.

Louisiana Pathways Child Care Career Development System:

Our clock hours and CEUs may be used to advance along the Louisiana Pathways career ladders for the Administrator Track, the Classroom Track and the Child Care Track.
